As a Crown Dependency the Health and Safety at Work Order 2024* brings into law the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (of Parliament, UK) for the Isle of Man.

This is the Island’s primary piece of legislation covering occupational health and safety requirements and this Act sets out general duties which:

  • Employers have towards employees and members of the public
  • Employees have to themselves and to each other
  • Certain self-employed have towards themselves and others.
